Speaker Introduction:
Dr. Wang Lianchun is a professor in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Georgia and a scholar at the Georgia Cancer Alliance. After receiving a doctor degree of Medicine from Heidelberg University in Germany in 1999, he joined the Department of Cell and Molecular Medicine of the University of California, San Diego, and worked as a postdoctoral research fellow in Jeffrey Esko's team. He was appointed assistant professor of University of Georgia in August 2006 and was became associate professor in 2012.
Professor Wang Lianchun studies the structure and function of glycoconjugates at the Center for Glucoconjugates Research of the University of Georgia in the United States. He focuses on the mechanism research of heparan sulfate in embryonic stem cells and angiogenesis and has currently published more than 50 research papers in the world's top scientific journals:Nauture, Nature Immunology, PNAS, JACS, Blood and JBC.
